Kat

In March 2024, Kat joined Lotus with a strong background in law, having practiced as a solicitor in both private practice and for an NGO. Her expertise in employment law has given her a deep understanding of discrimination legislation, including protected characteristics and competing rights. She is passionate about ensuring inclusivity and recognises that the barriers people face in the workplace often extend to all aspects of life, including access to vital support services.

Initially joining as a Community Engagement Officer, Kat has since transitioned into the role of Data Administrator and Trainee IDVA. In her current roles, she combines her analytical skills with frontline support, contributing to both the charity’s operational efficiency and its direct work with survivors. She will work towards her IDVA qualification later in 2025, further strengthening her ability to advocate for and support those affected by domestic abuse.
