We support women and families across East Sussex and Brighton & Hove through specialist recovery services for domestic abuse and child-to-parent abuse (CAPVA). Our work sits in the critical space between crisis and long-term recovery, helping families move forward once immediate danger has passed.
Demand for our services continues to rise significantly and, like many specialist charities, we are working within an increasingly stretched system where demand is rising faster than funding.
Your support could help us expand our reach, reduce waiting times and ensure more families can access safe, specialist support when they need it most.
What we do with your support
We provide specialist support for women and families recovering from abuse across East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
Our work includes:
- Recovery programmes for women recovering from domestic abuse
- support for parents experiencing child-to-parent abuse within the home
- immediate Welcome & Review support following referral
- peer support opportunities helping women rebuild confidence and connection
- partnership working with local services to improve safety and reduce families falling through gaps in support
We welcome unrestricted donations towards our core costs, helping us sustain and grow services during a period of increasing demand and funding uncertainty.
We are also happy to discuss directing your donation towards a particular area of work that reflects your interests and values.

Why we need your support
Domestic abuse can have long-term impacts on mental health, parenting, relationships, isolation and wellbeing. Many survivors struggle to access support once the immediate crisis stage has passed.
In 2025-26, demand became so high that we made the difficult decision to pause new referrals to our Recovery programme for five months while we safely redesigned our pathway and managed waiting lists.
We know how important timely support is. Early intervention and recovery support can help reduce ongoing harm, strengthen protective factors and interrupt intergenerational cycles of abuse.
With your support, we can:
- help more women and families access specialist recovery support
- reduce waiting times for support
- provide earlier intervention and safety planning
- strengthen peer support and community connection
- ensure families are not left facing recovery alone
