On Saturday 9th April Morrisons store in Crowborough hosted two trustees from Home-start East Sussex.
Derek and Maureen organised a tombola for customers assisted by Maureen’s grandchildren Cameron and Hamish. This was to raise funds for, and to increase awareness of our new Being Family service, which supports families with a baby under 12 months.
Clients are supported with an online group and have the option of a volunteer who can support the family in the home, over the phone or meeting in community spaces.
The tombola offered a multitude of prizes to suit all ages and customers were exceedingly generous given the difficult times we are in. A total of £125 was raised. A great deal of fun was had by all on otherwise routine shopping trips, and even the weather was kind. A special thanks goes to Erin, Morrison’s Crowborough Community Champion, who supported us with organising this event.
